The company behind the site
Quick Locksmith Inc. We are a mobile locksmith company, registered at 2431 Mission Street, San Francisco, CA 94110, holding California locksmith company license number LCO 7840. Questions about anything on this page go to quiklocksmithinc@gmail.com or (415) 625-5021.
The categories of personal information involved
Things you hand over deliberately. Send the form and we receive a name, a phone number, an optional email address, the place you typed in, the service you picked from the list and whatever ended up in the details box. Phone us or send a text instead and we simply have your number plus the conversation. Once a technician is dispatched there is also a service address attached to the job.
Things that come out of the job itself. A line describing the work, the parts fitted and the amount billed. Card payments are processed by an outside payment company. No card number ever reaches this website.
Things gathered without anybody typing them. Ordinary visit data. Which pages opened, roughly which region the request came from, the browser and device, and whichever link or search result pointed you here. This arrives through the hosting platform and through Google Analytics, which this site uses.
Never send us a social security number, a date of birth, immigration paperwork, medical information or bank details. We have no use for any of it and the form is not the place for it.
The reasons we keep any of it
Ringing you back. Pricing the work. Getting a van to the correct building. Billing. Answering you weeks later if a lock we fitted misbehaves. And holding the records a licensed locksmith company in this state is expected to hold.
The categories of outside parties who see it
Whichever technician takes the job. Netlify, the platform hosting these pages, which is where a submitted form lands. Google, which receives the visit data described above through Google Analytics. The payment company, for card transactions. Our bookkeeper. A court or a government agency, if we are legally compelled.
Your details are not for sale. They are not shared for cross context behavioral advertising. They never go to a competing locksmith or to any business in the trade of buying and reselling leads.
Google Analytics and cookies
This site runs Google Analytics, a measurement service made by Google. When a page loads, a small Google script sets cookies in your browser and sends Google the visit data described above: the pages you opened, your device and browser, your approximate region and how you got here. We read the reports to learn which pages people find useful and which ones end in a phone call. Your name, your number and anything typed into the form are not sent to Google.
Google describes what it does with this data on its page How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. If you would rather not be counted, Google offers a free Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, and any browser lets you block or clear cookies in its settings.
Tracking, and the Do Not Track header
Browsers can be configured to broadcast a Do Not Track preference. The industry never settled on what a website is supposed to do when it receives one, and this site takes no action on it. Separately, no outside party is permitted to use this site to build a picture of what you do on other websites.
How long any of it sticks around
An enquiry that never turned into work is held only while it might still be relevant, then cleared out. Paperwork for jobs actually carried out stays as long as tax and licensing obligations require.
Your requests
Ask us what is on file about you. Ask for a correction. Ask for deletion. All three are fine and all three are free, and the only thing we will refuse to delete is a record the law obliges us to retain. Reach us at quiklocksmithinc@gmail.com or (415) 625-5021. Nobody gets worse service for asking.
Children
Nothing here is aimed at children and we do not knowingly hold information about anyone under 13. Tell us if you think we do and it goes.
Revisions
A change to this policy means a change to the date printed at the top. Anything significant will be spelled out on this page rather than announced somewhere else.
